Parigi Pechino
2007

Mito Group is taking care of communications, international public relations and all events going on around Paris-Peking: a hundred years of Italian passion, an international road show promoted by Overland (the well-known television programme) and the Automobile Club of Italy in partnership with “Carlo Biscaretti di Ruffia” Automobile Museum in Turin.

What is Paris-Peking: a hundred years of Italian passion?
1907. Exactly one hundred years ago the Itala won the Peking-Paris rally, driven by Prince Scipione Borghese and accompanied by his crew, mechanic Ettore Guizzardi and Corriere della Sera and Daily Telegraph reporter Luigi Barzini. It wasn’t an easy victory, but it was a true triumph: the Itala arrived in Paris fully twenty days ahead of the other competitors!

2007. Now the same car, the Itala, is back on the road that made it famous, travelling the opposite way, from Paris to Peking, to celebrate Italy’s excellence and enterprising spirit with co-promoters Overland and the Automobile Club of Italy.
Accompanied by Overland vehicles, the historic car crossed Italy from Turin to Palermo in May, stopping in Milan, Reggio Emilia, Modena, Budrio (BO), Florence, Rome, Caserta and Naples. After this Italian preview, it is now read to set off from Paris on July 20 and travel the same 16,000 kilometres to Peking, stopping in:

16 July: London – preview

21 July: Lieges
22 July: Brussels

30 July: Warsaw
