To commemorate its 100th anniversary, Caffè Cagliari offered its customers and consumers an exceptional series of initiatives and events that reached their peak with the celebrations that were held on 26 and 27 September 2009. In addition to the two competitions dedicated to baristas and bar/restaurant managers Facce da Bar a photo competition that focused on the topics of daily bar activities, coffee as a custom and the faces of the bar/restaurant managers, and the Centennial Cocktail dedicated to the best coffee-based cocktail, the Grand Competition “100 years together – 100 awards for you” was dedicated to the end consumer.

During the weekend of 26 and 27 September 2009, a large event was held to the beat of Brazilian music in the company's courtyard, which united customers and suppliers, employees and collaborators of Caffè Cagliari, in addition to local institutions who were present at the inauguration of the Coffee Maker Museum, an exhibition of 80 espresso machines from the last century with great historic and stylistic value 

Mito group was in charge of the communication and organisation of the competitions and events for the 100th anniversary celebration.

Mito group changes its company structure.

The OSA cooperative of Rome is Mito group's majority shareholder. OSA is an important national leader in the health and social assistance sector. With the acquisition of the majority in the Mito group company, it intends to improve its own communication as well as enter a new market.
